Scattered everywhere
Tracks live in Garmin, photos in the group chat, stories on Instagram, and miles in a spreadsheet. No single place holds a voyage whole.
About
sailingwego is where crews plan and coordinate a voyage, then log the miles as they sail it. The trip is the plan; the crew is the community. Every voyage you record is shared with the people who were aboard, and counted for all of them.
The problem
Existing nautical apps are excellent at planning and navigation. But they do not know who was on board, and they do not connect sailors to each other.
Tracks live in Garmin, photos in the group chat, stories on Instagram, and miles in a spreadsheet. No single place holds a voyage whole.
The skipper might write it down. Everyone else who was aboard has nothing: no record, no miles, no credit for the passage.
Social apps do not know what a boat is, what a route looks like, what crew roles mean, or how to count a nautical mile.
The solution
Add route legs with departures, arrivals, dates, and distances, chain them into a day-by-day route, and plot the whole voyage before you leave the dock.
Every planned leg and logged voyage on one map, colored by day, with a scrubber to step through the itinerary and a fullscreen browser to plan in detail.
A marine forecast, NOAA tide predictions, and the coastal-waters outlook for your departure, captured on the trip so the plan reflects real conditions.
Tag the people who were aboard. The voyage lands on every crew member’s profile, and everyone earns its miles, not just whoever wrote it down.
A crew float plan for someone ashore, live tracking links, a shared document locker, and a ledger that splits the trip’s costs in any currency and settles everyone up, kept to the crew.
Title, dates, coordinates, distance in nautical miles, the boat, the weather, and photos: one voyage, captured whole, and rolled up into the trip.
Total nautical miles, the boats you own or charter, and your recent voyages, all in one place you can share.
Friends, follows, likes, comments, and a public Explore feed, built around the trips and logs you share, so the conversation stays with the voyage.
Who it’s for
A single home for every voyage on your boat: searchable history you can share with the crew who sailed it.
Sail on other people’s boats and still get credit. Track your miles and build a sailing résumé that travels with you.
Connect with clubmates, follow what other members are doing, and keep your racing and cruising in one log.
A hard record of nautical miles and a coherent history across many boats and skippers as you build toward a bigger plan.
sailingwego is part of the WeGo family of trip apps. When the crew trades the deck for dry land, plan the camping trip on Camping We Go.
